Active safety systems are becoming more popular among car users.

Active safety systems are becoming more popular among car users. These are such technologies as the LDWS and BSW systems.  We should not forget the passive systems. Which of them should be considered safe, Deputy General Director of Scientific Research Automobile and Engine Institute Denis Zagarin explained to Avtoradio in the frame of marathon in honor of the 80th anniversary of the traffic police:

"Talking about passive safety, it is certainly the availability of at least four airbags and it is very desirable to have ISOFIX to safely place the children in the rear seat. It is important to mention the bright lights, preferably xenon. Moreover, talking about the brake control system, of course, the ABS is very important, but it is now very difficult to buy a car without this system. Active Brake Assist system: recognizes the speed of pushing the brakes, understands that additional milliseconds are needed, and makes a decision. It saves seconds, and results in five meters of braking distance. "

Car users should remember that means of passive safety can reduce the risk of injury in an accident, but do not prevent most accidents, said Denis Zagarin.
